Drama: Original Stories, Authored Events         BBC Studios is proud to be home to a sensational range of original drama from the world's leading voices. Highlights from this year's drama session include: the first look at Academy Award-winner Steve McQueen's Small Axe, starring John Boyega and Letitia Wright; acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy comes alive with Bollywood leading man Ishaan Khatter and rising star Tanya Maniktala; and the cast and crew of David Nicholls' Us introduce his witty, romantic drama for BBC One.
Drama: Genre That Dares to Be Different         BBC Studios continues to take drama into new spaces. We transform genres – pushing the boundaries in crime and fantasy with dramas that dare to be different. Hear from the cast and crews behind two new character-driven shows that are sure to be talked about. We Hunt Together is a visually stunning, provocative cat-and-mouse thriller from Cheat creator Gaby Hull. And BBC America's The Watch is a bold, riotous, genre-busting series inspired by Sir Terry Pratchett's bestselling novels. Plus, Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall is joined by 13th Doctor Jodie Whittaker to discuss the legacy and future of this quintessentially British Time Lord.
Comedy: Uniting the World with Laughter         Comedy can reach beyond borders and bring people together. Our new slate features returning series from Britain's best comedy voices, including This Country, This Time with Alan Partridge, Inside No. 9 and Back. We're also very excited to launch the brilliant new comedy The First Team. Starring Will Arnett (Arrested Development), Chris Geere (Modern Family) and a dynamic international cast, the series follows the hilarious misadventures of three young professional footballers. Hear from the show's creators – including iconic producer Tom Werner (Roseanne, 3rd Rock from the Sun, That '70s Show) and award-winning writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley (The Inbetweeners).
